Bring On Summer! Fruit Crisp

I don't know about where you live, but here, Mother Nature has not decided whether it's hot or cold yet.  It's May 18 and I have my heater on in my office.  It makes me long for the signs of summer.  This peach and blueberry crisp screams lazy Sunday dessert!  I use this tried and true recipe from my favorite entertaining chef Ina Garten.  Check it out here!

Sunday Brunch

The holiday season is over.  Before you start all your new year's resolutions on Monday (workout, eat better, be nicer, blah blah blah :) make the most of Sunday with a good meal!  Brunch at Loca Luna is everything...my personal favorite is the Grilled Salmon and Scrambled Eggs with Pepper Dill Sour Cream.  Delicious!

NYE in ATL

This time last year the Bowies rang in the new year in Atlanta!  Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint in downtown Atlanta was a highlight of the trip, and the catfish and grits hit the spot.  Now, the menu, at first glance, only features shrimp and grits.  But, the good folks at the Juke Joint are glad to accommodate us shellfish-intolerant folks with a blackened catfish option.  If you go, extra cool points for having dessert, too.  The peach cobbler was so good....
